Casa Calma

Abstract

Casa Calma is a conceptual retreat for creatives to rest, recharge, and escape the grind. It explores liminal space, hospitality, and design as a temporary break from productivity, challenging the glorification of overwork. By prioritizing rest, Casa Calma reimagines a space where creativity thrives through stillness. The project satirizes creative struggles through its packaging and creative-care products, using surrealism to reflect the frustrations of the creative process while offering humor. These products within Casa Calma serve as both remedy and reflection, using surrealism to articulate the unspoken frustrations of the creative process while finding humor in it.
