Bad Teeth Club

Abstract

This project explores the intersection of teenage emotional turmoil and dental experiences, using teeth as a metaphor for growth. Through “teethcore” aesthetics—distorting teeth into soft, moldable forms like dentist’s plaster—the project visualizes the clash between personal bodily autonomy and societal pressures during adolescence. Its visual style mixes dark humor and introspection, transforming private struggles into a shared visual archive. Aimed at those with painful dental memories, it invites reflection on the “growing pains” of youth, suggesting that fragile, crooked teeth hold a unique beauty in their irregular shapes.
