Abstract
The original meaning of superstition is an unreasonable belief in certain events or actions. Some people use their limited understanding to define phenomena, but why do black cats rather than white ones spell bad luck? Why do different countries avoid different numbers? Behind Superstition tells the strange history of place through their superstitions about various things.
The project includes a website showing examples of superstitions from around the world and a board game that encourages players to learn about a wide range of cultures. The website helps to understand object cards and the effects of event cards that appear in the board game. The board game stimulates players' interest in the cultural stories behind superstitions.
