Abstract
‘Chronicles of Character’ is a form of storytelling and self portraiture using expressive typography. It focuses on building a story by re-imagining quotes from 12 different books.The quotes are chosen on the basis of their emotional impact and resonance. The identified emotions from the quotes are paired with a typeface that reflects its nature best “If this emotion was a typeface what would it be?", which is then used to build a typographic artwork that is a culmination of feelings I have experienced over the years and that has shaped me. ‘Chronicles of Character’ is a collection of book covers, bookmarks and an animation supporting the typographic artwork.
