Brand Test

Abstract

In “Brand Test,” I explored the effect of brand design on the consumer by producing six stylistically distinct re-designs of McCormick Chili Powder. The styles of the re-designs included: health food store, upscale grocery store, standard grocery store, renaissance fair, design store, and Air and Space Museum store. At the exhibition, viewers had the chance to answer the following questions about each product: “How much do you think this item costs?”, “In what kind of store do you think this item would be sold?”, “How healthy is this item?”, and “Is this product damaging to the environment?”. Viewers submitted their answers to these questions, and I created an infographic based on their responses.
