Abstract
With the prevalence of reality shows on TV for the past two decades, it’s surprising to find that the depiction of these shows has remained relatively the same, mostly negative and often a caricature of lowbrow society. This inspired some questions: is this the only imagery portrayed in these shows? And more importantly, is all reality TV really that bad? Reality Check is designed to feel familiar to the audience through its talk-show setup, and the script is meant to connect with the audience through humorous, self-aware banter.
