Transparency

Abstract

Transparency – A Plastic Pop-up, is an educational space that travels globally to shed light on the unsightly and harmful nature of ocean pollution. Through transparent language and individual action, it encourages visitors to reconsider their relationship with plastic.

It was inspired by the designer’s experience in her home country Kingston, Jamaica. Standing on the shore of the beach, she found herself entangled in a foreign object as the tide rushed in. That object was a plastic bag. This unfortunate experience made her aware of how plastic has taken over the natural environment and inspired her to take action and encourage others to do so as well.
