Abstract
Mental health is an essential factor affecting everyone's growth. In many countries of Asia, it is a common situation that students do not want to communicate feeling pressure and emotions to their parents, but have no way to express this. Therefore, these long accumulated emotions may keep students from becoming confident. This project, an edutainment app, helps students communicate their feelings and find a community to connect with.
52 Hertz is a group chat app for students ages 10 and over. Students can create a planet that represents their mood by choosing colors and drawing patterns according to their own feelings, or choose the system’s existing patterns. Students use tags to select groups they are interested in joining. In small groups, students share ideas and work together on puzzles to earn points used to buy brushes, planet styles, or system music to build their galaxy.
