How have Black American graphic designers carved out space for themselves in the industry despite systemic barriers and limited recognition? What can their work reveal about representation and visual storytelling? Designing While Black explores the history of Black American graphic designers, highlighting how they have navigated an industry shaped by exclusion while developing unique visual narratives that reflect Black culture and identity. This motion graphics project examines the resilience, innovation, and influence of some notable Black graphic designers over time.
